Why Should You Travel and Stay in an Ashram?

The magic of Ashrams in India is simply mesmeric. They breathe life into your mundane world by lifting your spirits and placing you at the peak of happiness.

This is achieved by making you realize-
1. We are each responsible for our own happiness. Sounds so simple, doesn't it?
2. The mind is something we can control.
3. Have more faith and be happy

This is an ultimate experience and one that you should take to take a new birth and life. Try to give an ashram at least 15 days, the longer you stay, the more the effects of the process will take hold. You need time to rid your body of toxins, calm your mind, open your soul and plant the seeds of happiness. This is the basic objective and benefits of Ashrams in India. An unforgettable experience in an ashram will terminate your wild goose chase for health, peace and happiness.

Caution
If you are looking for 5 star comforts, mouthwatering cuisine and beautiful women or men around you, then forget about having a divine new birth. Instead, go to any spa in 5 star resorts in India. You will find so called Yoga suited to your comforts and will guarantee that you go back to the same fixed boring routine from where you came.

My selections, especially for my discerning friends traveling to seek bliss

They own two neighboring houses (a white house and a yellow house) that they use for the yoga courses. They have rooms in both houses where they receive the guests, but the main house for the courses is the yellow house where there is a small yoga hall at the roof top. Located on the western side of the Elephant Valley in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India the Tureya ashram has settled into one of the few mountainous regions in southern India. Approximately 30 minutes from the Kodaikanal city center, the ashram has the convenience of road access and electricity, but is far enough removed from the city to be immersed in the sanctuary of nature’s mountainous ecosystem. The only facility on the west side of the valley, the ashram is bathed in the silent beauty of a primarily wild environment (aside from the few farmers who grow carrots, beans, potatoes, and garlic on hand sown terraced fields).
